Winter 1984
My mom handed me a pen and stack of typing paper to entertain myself (leave her alone) while she was cooking.
Spring 1989
I drew something that looked like a Ninja Turtle and Mikey gave me $.25 for it. My dad buys me a "How to Draw" book from the hardware store.
Winter 1999
The talented people at PBHS Inc. teach me Photoshop and my road to memorizing a bazillion quick keys begins.
Fall 2007
I finish my first large canvas painting and sell it at my Wine and Cheese art party. (See "Horsemen" )
Spring 2009
I have a brand new digital tablet and am itching to draw something for you.
Flash + ActionScript
Winter 1999
Art Director Chris Fraze thinks Flash will become important and teaches me Flash 4.0.
Winter 2004
I start utilizing OOP in Flash and also work with parsing XML files.
Winter 2006
I research the FLV video format, live streaming, flash media server, and camera input for Cisco's EngLearn department.
Winter 2007
After making some snazzy web banners I am told to update changes to a Flash Application developed by Blitz Agency. It is the craziest Flash I've worked with. I also learn what an MVC design pattern is.
Winter 2008
I work in ActionScript 3.0. It is tricky/strict but someday I will learn to like it.
Spring 2009
-Secret Project- More details someday
3D Modeling + Texturing
Winter 2000
Took first 3D Studio Max course
Winter 2001
Joined Game Development Club at Cogswell, learned game best practices for rigging, texturing, triangle placement. I build some cheesy models and do minor level design work for Gates of Temeleha, which becomes an IGF Student Finalist.
Winter 2003
Learn Maya. Create low poly 3D assets for Solterra, Tech-demo for Intel's Intel 2700G.
Winter 2004
Only Dell Axim 50x adopts Intel's chip. We only sell a few dozen copies of the Solterra and release it as freeware, as we develop GoNinja. A game based on the strategy game Go but with the awesomeness of ninjas. I take up part-time job teaching Maya modeling and animation to high-school students. If you are one of my ex-students, send me an email!
Winter 2004
Roommate, Russell, suggests I learn Z-brush if I want to stay competetive.
Fall 2009
Don't call it a comeback! My texturing and eye for form has developed in the last 5 years. Also I will stick to modeling and texturing. I'll make Richard light all my scenes, and I'll make Dave, Pat, and Colin put my guys in walk cycles or something in exchange for inviting them to my parties :)
