I was a technical artist on the art team for the Messenger Kids mobile app. We designed and made games, filters, and AR effects released weekly. I was responsible for optimizing geometry and textures, making sure assets got into the Spark AR engine, scripting interactions, programming gameplay, and contributing to game design and brainstorming sessions.
Our lead designer Adam Simpson guided the gameplay strategy for our games and we'd collaborate and iterate on the game mechanics, interaction, feedback loops, micro-animations, and gameplay through the TA, initial prototype, and post dog-fooding/QA stages.
